| Longtime collector, photographer, and owner/designer/webmaster of this Internet site is shown below sampling some of the invasive Channeled Apple Snails (Pomacea canaliculata (Lamarck, 1822)) at an impoundment in Duval County, Florida on September 15, 2005. Despite the snails South American origin, they easily survive the relatively cold north Florida winters. Digital photograph by Joel Wooster. |
